Situated in Delaware County, Powell is a charming city in Ohio with approximately 14,000 residents according to the 2022 Census data.

The first settlers arrived in the area in 1801, naming it "Middlebury" after a town in Connecticut of the same name.

It wasn't until 1947 that the community was officially incorporated as Powell, in honor of a judge who served the area in the late 19th century.
