Lewis Center is an unincorporated area within Orange Township, boasting a population of 34.6k according to the 2022 Census data.

The community originated around 1850 following the railroad extension to that area. It was named after William L. Lewis's family, who donated their land for a railroad station and received naming rights in return. The Lewis Centre post office was established in 1852, later changing its name to Lewis Center in 1893.

Known for its plethora of shopping centers and retail outlets along U.S. Route 23, Lewis Center is also famed as the location of the Polaris Fashion Center.

Geographically, the community is flanked by the Olentangy River to the west, Alum Creek State Park to the east, and the city of Powell.
